And the political fashion saga continues!  Ok, so in the nature of non-partisan reporting, the TalkingShopping crew has covered the fashion phenomenon that is both Michelle Obama and Sarah Palin's style hysteria.  We told you about Michelle's high-style designer dress choices and Sarah's specks selling out.  Now beauty companies are getting on the election fashion frenzy but crafting and selling goods that are meant to represent cosmetic colors that the women wear!  Will it ever end?!

Yesterday, an article on the Huffington Post pointed out one company, Alchemy of Colour who just debuted their '80s-esque Power Pink Lipstick, a lip shade that's supposed to be just like the shade the governor's been wearing!  What's more, the company is donating $1 of every sale to the McCain-Palin campaign.  According to the article, the company's developer said of the new creation that, "This powerful shade of pink celebrates the many faces of women as girlfriends, wives, mothers, entrepreneurs, corporate executives and even vice presidents."  Yowza!  Those are quite the array of attributes for one shade pink lipstick to bear!  So if we're two for six on that list, are we still allowed to slick this stuff on our lips?  Half a lip?  Top lip only?! 

The article also notes that there's another cosmetics company, Hot Pants Cosmetics that's launching their own line of politically-themed beauty products.  The collection includes the Palin Pink and Obama Berry lip glosses and will be sold throughout the month of October.  We're lovin' the non-partisan approach and instead of giving a portion of their profits to feed the campaign trail beast, they're donating 50% of gross profits to Cut it Out, an organization that helps women in the beauty industry aid domestic abuse victims!  Love it!
